SILPOURA PANCAKES RECIPE

1 1/4 cups buttermilk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/4 cups plain flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 dash salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter

 

  1. Mix the buttermilk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract in a bowl. Stir in sugar.
  2. Whisk in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, combining the batter with just a few strokes to moisten. Leave the lumps.
  3. In a separate bowl whisk together the egg and lemon juice. Stir into the batter mix.
  4. Refrigerate the batter for at least 30 minutes up to 1 hour.
  5. Using the Silpoura pour 1/3 cup of batter per pancake onto the skillet and cook until bubbles appear on the surface. About 2 minutes.
  6. Flip pancakes over and cook for about another 2 minutes, until brown.
